Vlug Amerika toe? Flee to America?

Die aanbod van die Amerikaanse president Trump om aan Afrikaners vlugtelingstatus toe te ken, het baie reaksie ontlok. Alhoewel daar met groot waardering kennis geneem word van die erkenning uit  dié oord, is daar verskeie redes waarom dit nie aanvaar behoort te word nie. Ons het 'n roeping om God hier in vryheid te dien. Daarom sal 'n vlug na Amerika ook beteken dat ons ontrou sal wees aan die Boere-Afrikaners wat tydens die Vryheidsoorloë hulle bloed vir 'n vryheidsideaal op hierdie grond gestort het. Grond, wat ons glo die Here ons sal gee in navolging van Mat 6:33.

The offer by US President Trump to grant refugee status to Afrikaners has provoked a lot of reaction. Although the recognition from this resort is noted with great appreciation, there are several reasons why it should not be accepted. We have a calling to serve God here in freedom. Therefore, a flight to America will also mean that we will be disloyal to the Boer-Afrikaner People who during the Freedom Wars shed their blood for an ideal of freedom on this land. Land, which we believe the Lord will give us in accordance with Mathew 6:33.
